Where the listings come from

Most entries started as desk research — public company websites, state and federal registries, permit and licence databases. That is why every listing shows a status and a date instead of implying we have audited anybody.

Vendor confirmation pendingBuilt from public research. Nobody at the company has confirmed it. Treat the capability list as a starting point, not a warranty.
Public-source reviewedA person checked the claims against a named public source, and that source is linked on the listing so you can check it too.
Vendor confirmedSomeone at the company claimed the listing from a company email address and confirmed or corrected the details.

How results are ordered

Your filters run first. Whatever survives them is what you see — every qualified company, whether or not it pays us. Within that filtered set, paid listings sort above free ones and are labelled as paid. Money changes the order of the companies that already matched. It never changes which companies matched.

If you would rather ignore the ordering entirely, tick the companies you care about and export the shortlist to CSV.

What Bluegill does not do

Do your own due diligence before you contract. Confirm current licences and permits, waste acceptance for your specific stream, analytical methods, insurance, and response coverage directly with the vendor. A listing here is a starting point for procurement, not a substitute for it.

If a listing is inaccurate — yours or somebody else's — tell us and we will fix or remove it. Correcting a listing is free and does not require buying anything.
